After you have installed spring engine you need to download a game you like to play. There are plenty of them but most people play Balanced Annihilation at the moment. You need to get at least one game if you want to play something. Remember that spring engine is just the basic framework and not a game itself! You can download games (which are sometimes called mods) with springdownloader, which should be running after you have installed the engine (look after some black icon near your system-clock ) If not, go visit our Downloads (category Games and Mods), download a game your interested in and copy it to your <Spring-Directory>/mods-folder (mostly c:/Program files/Spring/Mods).

To start playing, simply click on the icon "Spring battleroom" or "springlobby" which should be located at your desktop. If not switch to your spring-folder and open TASClient.exe or springlobby.exe. Springlobby/TASClient are the (multiplayer-)clients which allows you to host or find servers to join a game.(some things on the following screenshots may have changed, because spring and all the tools around it are being constantly improved)

As a new user you have to register an account first (go to options>>account, enter mail and password, click create new account). Depending on your TASClient version, it might look a bit different.

In the upper left Corner of the client is a small image. If its surrounded with a red line just click it. A green line means your logged in.

Now you can join one of the many running battles. Keep in mind that you should have the right mod/game before you enter a battle (if you have springdownloader running it should automatically get you the needed files, othrwise you have to download them manually).
